The Maryland Association for Institutional Research is excited to announce our 2026 Summer Workshop!
MdAIR is thrilled to invite you to the 4th Annual Summer Enrichment Series! We are proud to provide this professional development and enrichment opportunity to not only our members, but also higher education professionals and students across the State! This event will be of interest to anyone seeking organizational leadership opportunities!

We are excited to partner with the Center for Leadership and Organizational Change at the University of Maryland. We are excited to offer two (2) workshop opportunities.
Workshop 1: Less but Better: The Art of Saying No
Based on Essentialism: The Disciplined Pursuit of Less** by Greg McKeown, this session will help you maximize your time and effort by learning to think like an essentialist.
**There is a companion book for this talk. Purchasing the book is not required for attendance, but can be found here.
Cost: Free for current members, $20 for non-members; $15 for Students not employed full-time.
Start Time: 9:00-10:30 a.m.
**There will be a 15 minute break between sessions**
Workshop 2: ABCs of Resilience: How our Brain and Beliefs Shape Decisions Under Stress
Explore and practice specific tools for calming your brain and dealing more effectively with stressful and unpredictable situations.
Cost: Free for current members, $20 for non-members; $15 for Students not employed full-time.
Start Time: 10:45-12:15 p.m.

No refunds or ticket transfers will be allowed once your registration is finalized.
Conference Program will be posted prior to the event.
As with all MdAIR Summer events, reading the book prior to the workshop is encouraged by not required to fully participate in the lecture, discussion, or activities.
This event is open to anyone who is interested in attending, but pre-registration is required. Please feel free to share this with any colleagues that you think might be interested. Registration will close prior to the event.

As with all Maryland AIR events, this event is FREE for current members. For non-members, the event is $20 for one (1) workshop or $30 for BOTH workshops. Current students (not currently employed full-time at an institution) may attend for a reduced rate. Please note that membership is not included with registration for the Summer Enrichment Series.
